Privacy policy

tarastore processes your images entirely inside your browser. Files you open are never uploaded, copied to a server, or stored by us. When you close the tab, they are gone.

We do not require an account, we do not ask for your email, and we do not sell data - because we do not collect it in the first place.

Compression, format conversion, cropping and rotation all run through your browser's built-in canvas rendering engine. The image data stays in your device's memory for the duration of your session, and any temporary preview references are released when you load a new file or leave the page.

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no fingerprinting scripts. If we ever add privacy-preserving, aggregate usage counts (for example, how many people opened the crop tool), those numbers will never include your files or anything that identifies you.

Preferences such as your last used export format may be stored locally on your own device only.

Fonts and static assets are served over a content delivery network, which - like any web request - receives your IP address in order to return the file. No image data is included in those requests.

tarastore is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information, we do not knowingly hold data about anyone, including children.

Data-protection laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct and delete personal data held about you. As we hold none, there is nothing to request, export or erase. You remain in full control of your own files at all times.

If our approach ever changes - for instance if we add an optional account-based feature - we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
